The Vermont Studio Center
Deadline: Check with Vermont Studio Center for exact dates.

Has 4- to 12-week independent residencies year round -- with a few 2-week residencies -- for 52 artists and writers each month (24 painters, 12 sculptors, two printmakers, two photographers and 12 writers). All residents get private studio space appropriate to their medium (open 24 hours a day), accommodations and food.

Sculpture/Mixed-media: 12 sculptors and mixed-media artists are accepted each month. Sculptors are provided with private studios in the Schultz and Firehouse sculpture studio buildings, a communal shop area with hand and power tools, an outdoor work yard, and the opportunity for non-permanent site-specific pieces in the immediate environment. VSC's staff sculptor is available weekdays for technical support. Printmaking: 2 or 3 printmakers are accepted each month for monoprinting/etching residencies. Printers work in a shared print shop. Printmaking residents should have prior printing experience and plan to work independently. A residency application is available online at www.vermontstudiocenter.com/ptgform.htm Applications must be mailed with the appropriate attachments. See their web site for more details.
