Business Development Fund
Department of Sustainable Development
Deadline: anytime, provided funding is still available by the March 31 fiscal year-end.

Apply for funding through your local Economic Development Officer. The Business Development Fund has six programs that help businesses during all phases of the business cycles from research and planning, to market and product development, and even emergency relief for financially strapped companies.

Contributions for Planning & Development Costs - provides up to 75 per cent of funding (no more than $20,000).

Contributions for Pilot or Demonstration Projects - provides up to 95 per cent of funding (no more than $75,000).

Contributions for Business Creation or Expansion - provides up to 75 per cent of funding (no more than $25,000 per person).

Contributions for Venture Capital - provides up to 49 per cent of funding ($15,000 to $150,000).

Contributions for Market Development and Product Promotion - provides up to 70 per cent of funding (to a maximum of $15,000).

Contributions for Business Skills - provides up to 70 per cent of funding (to a maximum of $20,000).

Contributions for Business Relief - provides a maximum of $25,000.
