This program helps artists and their managers develop and reach new audiences and markets. It also boosts the number and type of programming options for presenters and curators of professional Canadian artists. For example, a group of carvers could invite curators from across Canada to view their work on exhibition. If the curators planned to buy, circulate or purchase the artists’ work at public galleries, museums and other places in Canada, then grants would cover the curators’ travel costs. Grants are $250 - $2,000 and sometimes more. Note: applications must be mailed or couriered to Canada Council’s Ottawa office. It does not accept applications by fax or e-mail.
