Travel Grants to Professional Artists
Canada Council for the Arts
Deadline: any time, as long as your application reaches Canada Council six to eight weeks before your departure date.

This funding, from $500 to $2,000, helps artists get to important events that will shape their career. A carver, for example, could travel to the opening of an art exhibition featuring his or her work. Note: applications must be mailed or couriered to Canada Council's Ottawa office. It does not accept applications by fax or e-mail.
