The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation provides fellowships for advanced professionals in all fields (natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, creative arts) except the performing arts. Fellowships are not available for students. The average award amount is US $26,500. There are two competitions, one of which is for US and Canadian citizens only. Application Forms found at www.gf.org/applic.html will first become available for the 2002 Fellowship competitions in July 2001.
