Noah Maniapik
lives in Pangnirtung with his wife and three children. He
was born in Pangnirtung in 1961. He is an accomplished artist
as well as being an electrician by trade.
During the winter or 2001 Noah began to make jewellery at
Arctic College and is in the process of setting up his own
studio, where he will also do carving. Working in metal, Noah
enjoys doing hunting scenes from experience as well as from
descriptions by elders.
Noah is also a local printmaker working in the Community Printshop.
He has done stenciling,woodcuts, and linocuts. Soon he will
learn to do stone etching. Two of his prints are currently
in the 2001 Print Collection.
