Community:Iqaluit, Nunavut

Suzanne was born on Bylot Island across from the community of Pond Inlet on northern Baffin Island. She grew up in Iqaluit and was educated in Ottawa, Ontario. She took up Jewellery making in 1997 and graduated in the Jewellery/Metalwork program at Nunavut Arctic College in Iqaluit, Nunavut in the spring of 2000. Suzanne enjoys making jewellery, creating metal bowls, Quilliq, Christmas ornaments. She also makes ivory jewellery, brooches and rings. She has worked in stone, making small carvings of serpentine and slate. She inlays these with other stones. Suzanne also does lapidary work for her jewellery settings. She also enjoys printmaking and drawing. Some of Suzanne's skills include sewing outdoor clothing and making tents for camping, and making Northern Quebec style hats. Hobbies include prospecting and cooking.
